Jacqueline has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in painting and minor in art history from Emporia State University 2003. Her work has been featured in exhibits around the country including Kansas City Museum, Museum of Arts and Design, New York, New York, and the Greenlease Gallery, Kansas City, MO. Jacqueline has worked closely with organizations such as the official Little House on the Prairie located near Independence Kansas for the development of their promotional and fundraising designs. In the summer of 2007 Jacqueline designed and directed the restoration of the original 1920’s murals located within the Historic Booth Theater, Independence, Kansas. She has illustrated two children’s books, Wally Catches the Spirit of Fun, released in 2003, and Miss Lily, the Crown and the Dance released in November 2007. She was interviewed about her illustrations for the Miss Lily the Crown and the Dance on KCTV 5, Kansas City “Morning Show” January 6, 2008. Jacqueline's art studio is located in Independence Kansas where she  creates original artwork and displays her paintings, prints and original jewelry designs.

Awards

Miss Lily, the Crown and the Dance (illustrated by Jacqueline Haltom in 2007) is a 2008 Mom’s Choice Awards Silver Recipient for distinctive illustration.
